I am pregnant. What do I need to travel?

You do not need to meet any special requirement to travel for up to the first 27 weeks of pregnancy, unless you have a multiple pregnancy or complications, in which case you must present a Medical Certificate. On flights from Colombia, you may travel when pregnant by up to 29 weeks.

If you are between 28 and 35 weeks, you will always need a Medical Certificate.

If you are between 36 and 38 weeks, in addition to a Medical Certificate, you will need the authorization of a LAN doctor.

Remember that after 37 weeks you can only travel on flights that are shorter than 6 hours long.

From week 39 onward, you cannot travel.

You can see all of the details at our Pregnant Women section.
