What is an Upgrade?
Upgrade is the modality that allows you to travel in a superior cabin (Business or Premium Economy) on LATAM flights, as long as there are seats available.
You can make your Upgrade request using your Elite member coupons, whether you paid for your fare with cash or redeemed LATAM Pass Miles or Multiplus Points.
You must ensure that you have the sufficient amount in coupons for the route you’re flying, and have purchased your trip with the Access, Control or Flex fare.
Another way to request is via the Upgrade Option, a service that is only available by invitation. If you receive it, you can make an offer and we will let you know if you’ve been successful between 8 and 12 hours before your flight.
Platinum, Black and Black Signature members of Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, Australia and New Zealand can also apply with their LATAM Pass Miles.
Please remember that once the Upgrade is confirmed, changes or returns cannot be made.
