What are the requirements for a minor to travel alone?
Babies, children and teenagers may travel unaccompanied or with a responsible adult, depending on their age.
- Babies and children between 0 and 7 years of agemust always travel with an adult over the age of 18.
- Children between 8 and 11 years of age are required to travel with the the Unaccompanied minor transport service, where LATAM personnel accompany the child throughout their entire trip, including immigration and security, until they are dropped off with an authorized adult at the end of the trip.
- Teenagers between 12 and 17 years of age may travel alone, although they can also use this service.
