What documents do I need to travel on an international flight?
For international flights, you need the following documents:
- A valid passport that expires at least six months after the final date of travel.
- Identity card (for citizens of Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay traveling within South American countries).
- In some cases, you will need a VISA. This depends on the country of destination and your citizenship.
If you are traveling with a minor, you will have to present a birth certificate or family record book. If the minor is only traveling with one parent, with a third party or alone, an authorization letter to leave the country is required. The certificate must be granted by a judge, public notary or, when abroad, by an accredited consul.
For more information, check the official IATA website or the country of destination’s Consulate website.
For domestic flights, you only need your ID card.
