What documents do I need to travel on an international flight?
You will need the following documents to travel abroad, although it depends on your nationality:
– Valid ID card (for citizens traveling between South American countries).
– Current passport valid for at least six months from the return date.
– In some cases, you will need a VISA, depending on the country of destination and your citizenship.
Minors may also need a birth certificate or family record book and an authorization to leave the country in the event that they are traveling with just one of their parents, alone or with third parties. This certificate must be granted by a Judge, Public Notary or accredited consul abroad.
You can find more detailed information on the official IATA website or on the destination country’s Consular website.
